· To John Johnson of East Dereham, Norfolk, cousin of William Cowper, the poet : 1 autograph letter signed, "your ever sincere & affectionate Hermit" : 15 Jul 1816 : (MISC 4288) : 1 page (single sheet) : [no place] : begins, "In my immediate reply to you yesterday, by the returning post, I had not time to speak of our interesting Margaret Perowne..."; including a ten-line verse epitaph for Margaret Perowne, Johnson's housekeeper.
· To George Nicol, bookseller and publisher : 1 autograph letter signed : 29 Jan 1792 : (MISC 4028) : regarding Hayley's biography of Milton, which would be published two years later by Nicol and others as part of the Poetical Works of John Milton; also asking about their mutual friend, the poet Joseph Warton.
