Sophia Byron, née Trevanion, wife of John "Foulweather Jack" Byron (1723-1786), British naval officer; she was the paternal grandmother of Lord Byron, the English Romantic poet. · To Thomas Stilwell, navy agent : 1 autograph letter (third person) : [received 16 May 1789] : (B'ANA 0769) : 1 page (double sheet) : from Bolton Row : begins, "Mrs. Byron will be thankfull [sic] if Mr. Thomas will buy her a dozen papers of Dr. James's Powder ...; addressed on the address panel to "Mr. Thos Stilwell / and / James Sykes Esq. / Crutched Friars.".
