Francis Place, English radical and chronicler. · To George Wilson, campaigner against the corn laws : 1 autograph letter signed : 31 Jan 1842 : (MISC 4072) : 1 page (double sheet) : from London : begins, "I inclose to you an autograph which I have now cut from the title page of a book ..."; with the excised autograph of Thomas Hardy, the radical and founding member of the London Corresponding Society, mounted at the top of the letter.
