H. Montgomery, Mary Rhoads and S. Rhoads remain unidentified. Nine quatrains in ink, on laid paper : (MISC 0988) : begins, "Ah! busy Memory how sharp thy stings / When Joys departed are the painful theme ..."; inscription following poem reads in full, "To S. Rhoads this simple effort of an Humble Muse is / sent by her very sincerely sympathising / H. Montgomery.".
