Mary I. Brown is the daughter of the Rev. Robert Robinson (1735-1790), wife of Samuel Brown, wine-merchant, and sister of Ann Robinson, who was also a friend and correspondenct of Mary Hays. To Mary Hays, novelist : 2 autograph letters signed : 17 May 1791 (MISC 2162) and 18 Nov 1808 (MISC 2163). Both of these letters are published in: The correspondence of Mary Hays (2004), edited by Marilyn L. Brooks.
