Holograph copybooks : ca. 1816-1821 : (MISC 3985) : 2 vols.; including fair copies of original poems, apparently drafted elsewhere. Vol. 1 has 116 pages, numbered in pencil and a penciled table of contents at the end; v. 2 is about one-third blank. Bookplates of "Edward Arnold, Surrey." Shelved with bound manuscript material under "Bury.".

Biographical/historical information

Charlotte Susan Maria Campbell Bury, writer and lady-in-waiting to Queen Caroline, was the author of some sixteen books, most published anonymously. She was married twice: in 1796, to Col. John Campbell (d. 1809), and in 1818 to the Rev. John Edward Bury (1790?-1832).
