The Campaign for World Government, founded by Rosika Schwimmer and Lola Maverick Lloyd in December 1937, was among the first organizations to advocate a democratic federal world government. The Campaign was divided between two offices in separate cities, with the international campaign headquartered in New York City and the national campaign in Chicago. This collection consists of the records of the Chicago office, but documents both the Campaign's international and national efforts. Records of the New York office are described separately. less

Clark Mell Eichelberger (1896-1980) was an American writer, lecturer, and Peace activist. His papers consist of materials related to his work with such organization as the League of Nations Association, American Association for the United Nations, and the Commission to Study the Organization of Peace. The collection includes Eichelberger's writings, research, notes, organizational records, correspondence, photographs, oral history interviews, and recordings of his radio broadcasts about the United Nations. less
