The collection consists of correspondence, biographical papers, skits, lyrics, music, photographs and clippings documenting her personal life and career.

This collection comprises the papers of the Polish singer and actress Bertha Kalich who immigrated to the United States in 1895. Once in the United States, she became a celebrated star of the Yiddish theater, with active roles in theater as well as cinema, until 1928 when she succumbed to illness. One of her best known roles was the title character of the play Magda and Lilla Olrick in Jacobi's Riddle Woman. The collection consists of correspondence, personal and professional papers, and theatrical memorabilia from Bertha, her husband, Leopold Spachner, and daughter Lillian Kalich Spachner concerning her stage career and is primarily in English with some materials in German, Yiddish, and Hebrew.

Victoria Crandall (d. 1990) was a theatrical producer who packaged numerous touring stage shows for the summer theater trade. In addition to organizing productions that toured the Northeastern United States, she also served as co-producer and musical director for the British Colonial Playhouse in Nassau, Bahamas, in the mid-1950s. In 1959 Crandall founded the Brunswick Summer Playhouse, later known as the Maine State Music Theater, which she headed as executive director and artistic director for the rest of her life. The Victoria Crandall papers consist of business letters and some personal correspondence pertaining to Victoria "Vicki" Crandall's career as a theatrical producer for summer theater productions during the 1950s. Most of the material concerns three large-scale productions Crandall organized for touring companies during this period, BRIGADOON, SONG OF NORWAY and THE GREAT WALTZ. The last production in particular is well documented, due perhaps to an alleged breach of promise by one theatrical venue which resulted in exchanges of heated correspondence and threats of legal action. Most of the other documents relate to routine matters of billing, casting, box office grosses, and the like.

The Alexander Scourby Papers document the professional career of the prolific actor and narrator through contracts, correspondence, photographs, scripts, and other material. Although he had a long and varied career as an actor and narrator on stage, screen, and radio, Alexander Scourby considered his most important work to be the performances he gave as a voice actor in the Talking Books recordings he made for the American Foundation for the Blind.

Robert A. Baron (1921-1980) was a theater company manager. In 1960, he was engaged by the League of New York Theatres to prepare reports on the financial performance of Broadway productions. The reports were intended to be used in the League's negotiations with the Dramatists Guild regarding royalties. The Robert A. Baron papers on Broadway financial statistics (1959-1977, bulk 1960-1961) contains financial statements, accounting worksheets, tables, graphs, draft reports, notes, clippings, and correspondence. The bulk of the material relates to the 1960-1961 Broadway season and to a select number of 1950s productions. There are also financial records and correspondence related to the League's campaigns to eliminate city and federal taxes on theater ticket sales. Material dating after 1961 is primarily correspondence regarding Baron's earlier work. Box 3 contains a small number of documents relate to Baron's work as company manager for the national tour of Seidman & Son (1963)

Cornelius P. Cotter was a professor of political science at Stanford University. While earning his Ph.D. in Public Administration from Harvard University, and during his first years as a professor, he worked as a general manager, business manager, and public relations director for summer stock theatre companies. From 1949 to 1956, Cotter was employed with St. John Terrell's Music Circus in Lambertville, New Jersey; Niagara Falls Summer Theatre in Niagara Falls, Ontario; and the Melody Circus Theatre in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Cornelius P. Cotter papers, dated 1949 to 1958, highlight the business end of summer stock companies through correspondence, weekly operating statements, and budget memoranda. The companies' productions are documented through programs, fliers, clippings, and photographs; also included are programs for productions of related summer stock companies working during the early 1950s. Correspondence, most of which relates to Cotter's work with St. John Terrell, discusses plans for upcoming seasons, proposals to launch new summer stock companies, and budgetary concerns for the companies.

The Mary Frank papers contain production files from plays produced or invested in by Frank; submitted scripts; reports on plays and books seen and read; and administrative records of the New Dramatists Committee.

Cohen papers, Additions date from 1960 to 2000 and contain legal documents and case files that supported his successful arbitration against the American Theatre Wing Inc., and contracts, agreements, and clearances related to a few theater productions.

Elizabeth McCann (1931-2021) was a Broadway theater producer who came to prominence in the 1970s with her company McCann & Nugent Productions. The Elizabeth McCann papers, which date from 1979 to 2017, primarily document McCann's later solo producing career. The collection holds files of correspondence, casting notes, programs, marketing materials, press clippings, budgets, and financial information relating to many of the plays McCann produced.

The Roy Somlyo papers contain production files for plays and musicals produced by Somlyo, as well as the Tony Awards, on which he worked from 1967 to 2003, and the Drama Desk Awards, on which he worked from from 2004 to 2007.

The records consist primarily of administrative and financial papers, as well as photographs documenting the history and activities of Yellow Springs Institute, an international residency institute for artists and scholars that was located in Chester Springs, Pennsylvania.
