Andrea Olmstead, a musicologist, is the leading authority on the American composer Roger Sessions. The Andrea Olmstead papers, dating from 1970 to 2013, mainly document the research and writing of Olmstead's books and articles on Sessions, as well as her history of the Juilliard School. They include Olmstead's correspondence with the composer and transcripts of her interviews with him; research notes; book drafts; papers, lectures, and presentations; and correspondence with other musicologists and writers.
