Andrei Ussov is a Russian photographer. Collection consists of 32 black and white photographs taken by Andrei Ussov of Soviet rock musicians from the period 1983-1991, including performance photos, group portraits, and headshots. The photographs document what is now known as "classic Russian rock" in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg). Bands include Aquarium, Alisa, D.D.T., Nol, Televizor, Avia, Brigádmy Podriad, and Opasnie Sosedi. Especially notable are photographs of Michael Kordukov (known as Russia's first DJ) and a 1990 "Beatlemania" celebration in Leningrad. less
