Barnard Hughes (1915-2006) and Helen Stenborg (1925-2011) were prolific stage and screen actors. Hughes was best known for his award-winning turn as the titular character in Da, and Stenborg performed extensively with the Circle Repertory Company. Their papers date from the 1880s to 2011, and chronicle their professional careers and personal collecting interests through posters, programs, photographs, correspondence, engravings, scripts, manuscripts, and award trophies. The collection also contains theater memorabilia that Hughes inherited from Thelma Chandler, a stage manager. The Chandler memorabilia includes correspondence from Margaret Webster, the American director, producer, and actress. less

Larry Kert (1930-1991), an American actor, singer, and dancer, who was known for originating the role of Tony in Broadway's West Side Story (1957) and replacing Dean Jones as Robert in the original Broadway cast of Company (1970). The Larry Kert papers, dating from 1930 to 2016, chronicle his work primarily in musical theater productions and cabaret acts through sheet music, scripts, audio and moving image recordings, photographs, printed matter, and associated files. The collection also holds a small amount of sheet music, scripts, and photographs from American choreographer, dancer, and director Tony Stevens (1948-2011), and correspondence, ephemera, and photographs compiled by Kert's life partner Ron Pullen (1955-2023). less

Baoting Chang (1929-2015) was a Chinese Xiang Sheng ("cross-talk comedy") comedian and performer whose career spanned seven decades. He grew up in a family of well-known Xiang Sheng performers. Chang's daughter Grace Chang made and compiled a collection of video and document files about Chang and the Chang family's performing careers. Although the files were created in 2020s, they reuse scripts, books, photographs, and video and sound recordings from the 1920s to 2018. less
