Scope and arrangement
This is a synthetic collection consisting of correspondence. The correspondence includes letters from Wise, dating from 188-? to 1935, to Sir Sidney Colvin, H. Buxton Forman, de V. Payen-Payne, Eric S. Pinker, Algernon Charles Swinburne, Cyril Hackett Wilkinson, and others, as well as letters relating to the author, dating from 1876 to 1939, between various correspondents, including Harry Treffry Dunn, H. Buxton Forman, W. T. H. Howe, E. V. Lucas, Wilfred George Partington, Theodore Watts-Dunton, the literary agency James B. Pinker and Son, and others. There are letters to Wise from Thomas Pugh Beddoes, Paul Lemperly, William Morris, de. V. Payen-Payne, J. B. Pinker and son, and J. A. Spoor, dating from 1919 to 1932.
