Some of the letters are copies but most are original. The correspondence covers the period 1939-1987, but most of the letters are from 1986-1987. A letter from Sarah Woodcock contains xeroxes of 1934 Mercury Theatre programs of Marie Rambert's group and Vauxhall Gardens.Some correspondence was received in subject files and remains in the pertinent folders: i.e. there are letters in the files for Dim Lustre, Pillar of Fire, Sunflowers,and Undertow.For example, a letter in the Sunflowersfolder from Tudor to Isabel Mirrow (11/12/85) contains this, “...also, to be remembered that, as in all Tudor pieces, the torso is the most important part of the body, and the legs move in order that the body shall be carried where it needs to go...”"}
