Some of the letters are copies but most are original. The correspondence covers the period 1939-1987, but most of the letters are from 1986-1987. A letter from <span class=\"persname\">Sarah Woodcock</span> contains xeroxes of 1934 Mercury Theatre programs of <span class=\"persname\">Marie Rambert's</span> group and <span class=\"emph\">Vauxhall Gardens.</span>Some correspondence was received in subject files and remains in the pertinent folders: i.e. there are letters in the files for <span class=\"emph\">Dim Lustre, Pillar of Fire, Sunflowers,</span>and <span class=\"emph\">Undertow.</span>For example, a letter in the <span class=\"emph\">Sunflowers</span>folder from <span class=\"persname\">Tudor</span> to <span class=\"persname\">Isabel Mirrow</span> (11/12/85) contains this, “...also, to be remembered that, as in all <span class=\"persname\">Tudor</span> pieces, the torso is the most important part of the body, and the legs move in order that the body shall be carried where it needs to go...”</p>"}
