Recorded by William Savory.</p> <p>The first half of the concert consisted of Armstrong and the All Stars, followed by the Goodman band. The second half consisted of the Gene Krupa Trio and Sextet, followed by Armstrong guesting with the Sextet, followed by an encore of the Goodman band.</p> <p>Armstrong's All Stars comprised Armstrong with Trummy Young, trombone; Barney Bigard, clarinet; Joe Bushkin, piano; Arvell Shaw, bass; and Cozy Cole, drums.</p> <p>The Goodman Orchestra for this evening consisted of Krupa, drums, with Willie Smith and Clint Naegley, alto saxophone; Georgie Auld, tenor saxophone; Sol Schlinger, baritone saxophone; Vernon Brown and Rex Peer, trombone; Al Stewart, Charlie Shavers, and Ziggy Elman, trumpet; Teddy Wilson, piano; Steve Jordan, guitar; Israel Crosby, bass; and Helen Ward, vocals.</p>"}
