CARE's small business operations is known as CARESBAC (Small Business Assistance Corp see also Sub series 10.2.2.4 CARESBAC, 1988-1993).</p> <p>Subject correspondence includes the following: Belize, proposal for pisciculture rehabilitation in the Congo, credit saving policies, marketing report project report for Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador's micro credit component proposal, Egypt, Guatemala \"Women's Voices, Women's Vision\" project, Haiti's Craft Export Resources Center (CERC), Honduras, India, evaluation report of CARE-USAID small farmer production marketing project in Jamaica, Kenya, Lesotho's hand spun mohair project, Philippines' micro- enterprise project, PfP programmatic and financial audits requested by CARE, SEAD needs assessment, Sri Lanka, stove projects, Sudan, Swaziland Training for Entrepreneurs Project (S. T. E. P), and Togo.</p> <p>Training materials contain a combination of correspondence, handouts, manuals, needs assessments and workshop reports. The workshops served as an opportunity for staff to learn from each other, and to take the experience of mission staff, Regional Technical Advisors and the New York support unit to forge a regional SEAD. There are handouts for the workshops, notes on training in different regional areas, needs assessment, nominations of staff to attend the workshops, pre-workshop preparation, and training indicators. At the end of this subseries is the CARE Marketing game that was designed circa 1991 by Nick Ritchie and Robin Poppe for CARE SEAD workers in Niger.
