{"value"=>"<p>Covering the early period William Sear Stow became a lawyer, 1818, and after. He lived in Hudson, Chenango and finally Jayne County, village of Clyde. Included also are letters to William S. Stow from his siblings. The bulk of the letters to him are from clients, for whom he undertook lawsuits, insurance claims, collector, etc., including being representative for William S. De Zeng in connection with his glass factory in Clyde. However c. 1863, William and his son De Lancey formed a partnership. Letters c. 1863 foward are mainly clients to De Lancey some to William. Other letters indicate his political interest with the Democratic Party and a proposal to electrify a railroad system in Clyde, New York.</p>"}
