Collection consists of correspondence, land papers, legal and financial papers, maps, and printed matter. Correspondence, 1816-1918, includes incoming letters from clients and family members. Land papers for New York and other states, 1793-1896, contain indentures, land deeds, surveys, articles of agreement, contracts, and bonds. Legal papers, ca. 1816-1909, include court records, minutes, church and school records, and estate papers. Financial papers, 1810-1880, consist of accounts, cash books, daybooks, ledgers, court registers, and pension claims. Also includes maps and printed matter."}
