In a joint venture with the American Legion, the department organized a writing campaign to promote voting. Included in the files is general correspondence with individuals, state governors, chambers of commerce, educational institutions, organizations, and associations, discussing the question of public indifference to voting, and the campaign for greater participation in party politics. Much of it concerns the \"Getting-Out-the-Vote\" campaign waged by NCF and the American Legion, and consists of requests for comparative statistics for voter registration and voter turnout for the elections of 1920 and 1924. There is also correspondence, 1925, relating to membership on the Advisory Council of the Political Education Department; correspondence and papers of departmental meetings, 1924-1928; and miscellaneous papers relating to the work of the Political Education Department.</p>"}
