Although most open letters and letters to the editor appear in Series I, some can be found here as well.</p> <p>There are a few articles for the years 1917-1918, including pieces on World War I, conscientious objection, and the church. However, the bulk of the writings in Subseries IV: B date from the 1930s through the 1950s. The subseries is in chronological order, with a substantial amount of undated material filed at the end.
