Richard Maibaum (1909-1991), screenwriter and producer of films such as THE GREAT GATSBY (1949) and most of the James Bond thrillers was an established stage actor, producer and playwright before beginning his Hollywood career in the 1930s. During World War II he directed the Army's Combat Film Division. After the war he was a producer and screenwriter for Paramount. Beginning in the 1950s, he worked in film and television primarily in England. This unpublished volume is a guide to Richard Maibaum's miniatures collection compiled by his son Matthew Maibaum. The miniature vehicles, created to commemorate a film, or to be used as concept models for the central action, or as part of the dramatic background, are from films spanning Maibaum's career from 1937 on. The volume contains photocopies of photographs or drawings of the miniatures and background information about them.
