Sir Michael Costa was an Italian-English conductor and composer of operas. On paper headed "Her Majesty's Theatre," Mr. B. Lumley, director of Italian Opera, and Mr. Costa agree to 9 articles, including terms under which Mr. Costa will conduct operas and concerts and under which he will compose and produce a new opera. The manuscript is in ink and is signed only by M. Costa.
