E. Dutilh & Co. was a merchant company based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and founded by Etienne Dutil (1748́⁰3С1810). The receipt book documents the company's finances concerning trade, rent, taxes, and bills of exchange between January 25, 1786 and August 1, 1789.
