The papers consist of incoming letters typed and handwritten relating to various civic and political interests of Mr. Stewart, but particularly focusing on Stewart's activities with the League of Republican; Clubs and his promotion of the 100th anniversary of peace among English-speaking peoples and the bicentennial commemoration of George Washington's birthday.
