Henrietta Cornelia Bevier was the daughter of Philip DuBoys Bevier of Rochester, Ulster County, New York. Diary, 1809 June 10-Sept. 3 of an unidentified girl attending the school of Miss Sarah Pierce, Litchfield, Connecticut. At the end of each week she records current events, synopses of the weekly sermon, name of the preacher, etc. Other students mentioned include Eliza Canfield, Sophia Coit, and J. Radcliff. The diary has been attributed to Henrietta Bevier, but may have been written by her younger sister, Hylah Bevier, b. 1795.
