Charles F. Osborn (b. 1818) was the son of Charles Osborn and Hulda Jarvis. Like his father, Osborn was active in New York City real estate and, often in partnership with his brother George, became an agent for many prominent citizens including Henry Livingston and Cortlandt Van Rensselaer The papers include letters between Osborn and George Abbe, Seth Couch, William Gibbons, Maturin Livingston, Henry Livingston, Mrs. Margaret Livingston, Robert H. Pruyn, Courtlandt Van Rensselaer, and G.M. Wilkins; and letters and accounts of the real estate firm Hardman and Osborn, 1856-1867
