Robert Hartley Cromek, English engraver and literary entrepreneur. A business dispute with William Blake ca. 1805-8 initiated a series of conflicts between the two men that would negatively impact Cromek's reputation. To a Robert Miller (in Scotland) : 1 autograph letter signed : 1 Dec 1808 : (MISC 3466) : begins, "I have troubled you with a large parcel of books, & I must beg you to let them be distributed as soon as possible." Earlier in 1808, Cromek had visited Scotland to collect information for his compilation of the Reliques of Robert Burns.
