Sir Joseph Edgar Boehm, Viennese-born sculptor in Britain. He was among the most popular, prolific, and successful sculptors of late nineteenth-century England. Among his many works, he is known for sculpting the head of Queen Victoria on coinage, and the statue of the Duke of Wellington at Hyde Park Corner. To E. J.
