Horace Twiss, English lawyer and politician. · To Clara Maria Pope, flower painter : 1 letter (transcript) : 25 Feb 1812 : (P'ANA 0057) : 2 pages (single sheet) : from 4, Inner Temple Lane : copied in an unidentified hand; begins, "Having luckily a couple of hours to spare, I employed them in reading the poem [The Philosophy of Melancholoy] which you have been so good as to send me. I think the subject interesting in itself, it has received a still further charm from the grace and sweetness which the poet has treated it.
