Scope and arrangement
The collection contains clippings, press releases, other publicity materials, program copy, biographies, guest lists, press lists, some correspondence, handbills, and several photographs (head shots). The materials span from 1969 to 1980. A number of the papers include materials on the letterhead of press agent Michael Alpert and his associates. The relationship to Solters & Roskin is unclear.
Especially well-documented productions are Stop the World – I Want to Get Off, (touring production starring Sammy Davis Jr., 1977-1978), So Long, 174th Street (1976), The Gingerbread Lady (1970), Last of the Red-Hot Lovers (1969), Porgy and Bess (1976) and Scratch (1971). Also included in the collection are materials on chef Colette Rossant, actor Bruce Dern and The Churchill School.
Folder titles and notes do not always accurately reflect the contents. Notes on some folders designate these materials as "duplicates." These are listed in the Scope Notes.
