Side Show, a musical about the Siamese twins Daisy and Violet Hilton, with music by Henry Krieger and book and lyrics by Bill Russell, opened in the fall of 1997 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre, but despite positive reviews, failed to find a sufficient audience, and closed January 3, 1998. Collection consists of letters of praise and thanks to Alice Ripley and Emily Skinner, the stars of the show, and poems by Bill Russell to the Side Show company.
