The Brooklyn Institute of Arts and Sciences was incorporated in 1859. The original Academy, located at 176-194 Montague Street in Brooklyn, New York, was destroyed by fire in 1903, and the new Academy was opened in 1908. Collection consists of letters and telegrams relating to the engagement of the Academy building for various performances; the collection also contains newspaper clippings and other papers.
