Israel De Wolf Andrews (d.1871) was a diplomat and politician who served as U.S. Consul General for Canada. Charles Wentworth Upham was a Unitarian minister, member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives and Senate, and U.S. Congressman. Seven letters from Israel De Wolf Andrews to Charles Wentworth Upham, 1854 May 4-1856 Dec. 20, mainly concerning the reciprocity treaty of 1854 between the United States and Canada which Andrews helped to negotiate, and with regard to which he had outstanding claims.
