George Lawrence Watters (1885- ), a Pennsylvania waterworks engineer, and his wife, Bertha Louise Watters (1878- ), separately compiled scrapbook genealogies. Collection consists of two genealogy scrapbooks compiled by the Watterses in 1919 and 1923. The 1919 scrapbook compiled by George Lawrence Watters contains biographical notes by Watters about his father, Leonidas Hamline Watters, letters, photographs, newsclippings, postcards, certificates, frakturs, diplomas, and announcements, 1860 to 1906. Bertha Louise Watters's 1923 scrapbook contains genealogical records for the Hark family with some records for other families, letters, photographs, postcards, newsclippings, prints, and parchment and paper certificates spanning 1859 to 1924. Topics in the scrapbooks include teaching, the Civil War, church matters, and Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
