Sinclair House guest registers, Manuscripts and Archives Division, The New York Public Library
The collection consists of guest registers of the Sinclair House from December 1893 to April 1908.
Sinclair House was a hotel located at 8th Street and Broadway in New York City. The hotel was owned by Amaziah Levi Ashman (1830-1902) for more than forty years. He owned other hotels in the city and served as vice-president of the New York City Hotel Keepers' Association.
Collection consists of guest registers of the Sinclair House from Dec. 1893 to April 1908. Each entry consists of the guest's signature, city of residence, and room number. The last page of the last register, dated April 8, 1908 contains the signatures and job titles of the hotel staff.
