Dore Schary (1905-1980) was an American motion picture producer and playwright. Collection consists of letters written by Confederate Army soldiers in the U.S. Civil War. Most of the forty-one letters are from Henry Higginbotham, a private in the Confederate Army, to his brother and sister. He describes the effects of the siege of Mobile and writes about military movements and fears of soldiers and their families. Also, copies of Army muster rolls and a few other military documents.
