Daniel de la Vega (1892-1971), a Chilean author, wrote poems, plays, short stories, and novels. He was appointed press secretary to Brazil in 1951 and cultural attache in Spain in 1953. In Chile he received national prizes for literature, theatre and journalism. Collection consists of the hand-written festschrift honoring Daniel de la Vega compiled by Juan Olivares, the original essays by seven Chilean authors, sketches, and letters to Olivares commenting on the festschrift.
