Robert McCord (1863-1946) was a graduate of Peekskill Military Academy and an attorney who practiced law for fifty years in Westchester County, New York. He pursued the McCord family genealogy as a pastime, tracing the family lineage back to his great-great grandfather James McCord who emigrated from Scotland to the Province of New York in 1732. The McCord family genealogical research papers consists of correspondence, genealogical notes, essays, clippings and charts that were compiled by Robert McCord between 1885 and 1937
