Scope and arrangement
The collection, 1883-1941, represents Amos Canfield's research into the Canfield ancestry. The collection contains his correspondence with Canfields throughout the United States and the ancestral charts he created, as well as his copious notes, card files, copies of sources, and some late 19th century portrait photographs including cabinet cards, tintypes, and others, of members of the Canfield and Coberly families.
