Lucas Brodhead (1844-1914) of Versailles, Kentucky was the general manager and superintendent of Woodburn Stock Farm, a noted thoroughbred horse-breeding establishment in Woodford County, Kentucky. The Lucas Brodhead genealogical research papers, compiled by Lucas Brodhead between 1873-ca.1930s, consist of his correspondence concerning his genealogical research on the Brodhead, Breck, Upshaw, Price and other allied families, as well as original family legal documents, transcripts of wills, genealogical research, notes, membership applications for lineage societies, photographs of original family documents, and ancestral charts
