Linda Faile Browning Herrick (1889-1981) was the eldest daughter of John Aaron Browning, founder of the Browning School. She was married to Dayton Edwards Herrick of Westchester County, N.Y. The Linda Faile Browning Herrick collection contains genealogical research, notes, pedigree charts, clippings, photographs, and correspondence on the Browning, Faile, Dayton, Dieckmann, Doyer, Greer, Lynch, and Herrick families. Included are 19th and 20th century family records, correspondence, and Bible records, some present in photocopy; and photographs of people, houses, and cemeteries. Also present is a notebook, possibly used in school, 1863, that might have belonged to William H. Dieckman; and report cards, 1870-1871, from the Columbia Grammar School, New York, of "Master Browning.".
