Manuscript description of the workings of the Bengal revenue and judicial systems under the autonomous nabobs of Bengal in the first half of the eighteenth century. Compiled from native sources and translated (with occasional notes, probably by one of Francis' collaborators, G.G. Ducarel, John Shore, or Charles Grant) for Francis, as part of the research for his plan of a Permanent Settlement of the Bengal revenues. Probably written in 1776
