John Gruen collection of his articles and background materials

John Gruen is a writer who has written extensively about dance and individual dancers for magazines. He has written two books, The Private World of Ballet,1975, and Erik Bruhn, Danseur Noble,1979. He also conducted a series of programs sponsored by the Metropolitan Museum of Art involving performers and directors in the dance field. This collection contains copies of many of John Gruen's articles and background material which he used. The folders for each subject may also contain clippings, pressbooks, press releases, photographs, correspondence, memos, and information on Gruen's relevant expenses.
