Charlotte Smith's Celestina (1791) was published by T. Cadell; the 1797 second volume of Elegaic Sonnets and The Young Philosopher (1798) were published by T. Cadell, Jun. and W. Davies. Manuscript order lists for Charlotte Smith's Celestina, a Novel (2 lists dated 13 July 1791); "A Second Volume" of Elegiac Sonnets (1 list dated 9 June 1797); and The Young Philosopher (1 list dated 11 June 1798). Each list specifies wholesale and retail costs per book. With the names of dozens of London booksellers, along with the numbers of books ordered by each. In some cases (such as with John Murray and Joseph Johnson) it is almost certain that the bookseller's name is an autograph signature; some signatures may have been made by a bookseller's clerk or assistant.
