She was the niece of the playwright and politician Richard Brinsley Sheridan. · To Jane Porter, novelist : 3 letters : -- 1 autograph letter signed : 18 May 1824 : (MISC 2632) : from Leamington Spa, Warwickshire : begins, "A month has passed since I received your beautiful and most welcome letter ..." -- 1 autograph letter signed : 16 Oct 1833 : (MISC 3623a) : from 2 Charlotte Street, Leamington Spa, Warwickshire : begins, "It was with the greatest delight that I received a letter from my dear Miss Porter ..."; in part regarding a manuscript article on M. G. Lewis, submitted to the Court Magazine by Porter's cousin; including, "I am but a humble contributor and [editor Caroline Norton] has some pieces of mine on hand for some months which I know not whether she means finally to reject or to publish ..."; -- 1 autograph letter signed : 24 Feb 1834 : (MISC 3623b) : from 2 Charlotte Street, Leamington Spa, Warwickshire : mentions the article discussed in the previous letter, defends M.
