He worked for both William and Godwin and Percy Bysshe Shelley. · Legal opinion : [ca. 17 Feb 1819] : (G'ANA 0041) : prepared for William Godwin; on the significance of the agreements between Godwin and Archibald Constable and Company for the publication of Godwin's Mandeville. N.B. Shelley and his Circle surmises the document "was probably authored by R. W. Hayward ... and was very likely written out by one of his clerks" (v. VI, p. 776).
