Thomas Francis Fremantle, 1st Baron Cottesloe, British politician and civil servant. From 1827 until 1846 Fremantle was MP for Buckingham, sitting as a Conservative. Baron Fremantle in the nobility of the Austrian empire, he became Baron Cottesloe of Swanbourne in 1874. To Sir George Burrard, politician : 1 autograph letter signed : 25 Mar 1843 : (MISC 3471) : reporting the Prime Minister's explanation of the complications in securing a pension for Caroline Bowles Southey, widow of the late Poet Laureate Robert Southey.
