The Association of Manufacturers of Metal Covered Doors and Windows was a trade association closely linked to the Building Trades Employers' Association of the City of New York. Collection consists of correspondence files of the secretary of the Association of Manufacturers of Metal Covered Doors and Windows. The Association corresponded with manufacturing firms, the Building Trades Employers' Association of the City of New York, and the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local #28. Nathan Middleton Clark (1916 – 2011), was a British shoe manufacturer for C. & J. Clark International, Ltd., his family's company. During the 1960s, Clark decided to move to New York City where he became a friend and financial supporter for the performing arts.
