Apphia Lyttelton, Baroness Lyttelton, English noblewoman. Born Apphia Witts, her first husband was Joseph Peach, Governor of Calcutta. In 1772 she married the "wicked" Lord Lyttelton, who soon eloped with a barmaid and died in 1779, leaving her to sixty-one years of widowhood. To "Dear Revd.
