The Temple of Religion was an inter-faith exhibit at the New York World's Fair in Flushing, N.Y., 1939-1940. William Church Osborn was president of the corporation that managed the exhibit. Collection consists of correspondence, minutes, reports, publicity releases, speeches, and registers of visitors to the Temple of Religion. Records include general correspondence; internal correspondence; Board of Directors correspondence, minutes and reports; correspondence of special committees; and financial correspondence and papers. Other records include publicity correspondence, with endorsements from prominent persons; publicity releases and speeches about the Temple; program correspondence and schedules; correspondence with churches and groups in the U.S. concerning performances by choral groups; and registers, 1939-1940, of visitors to the Temple.
