Charles Weidman (1901-1975) was a dancer, choreographer, and teacher known for his roles as a member of the Denishawn Company, and later for founding his own companies: the Humphrey-Weidman Concert Company, Theatre Dance Company, and An Expression of Two Arts. The additions to the Charles Weidman papers contain material related to choreographed works he performed with the Theatre Dance Company and An Expression of Two Arts; files representing his time with the Denishawn Dancers; photographs; and scrapbooks. less

The First Chamber Dance Company was a small touring dance company founded in New York City in 1961 by Charles Bennett. It moved to Seattle in 1974 where it was based until the group disbanded in 1979. The dancers were trained in ballet but incorporated other styles of dance, performance, and choreography. The company also operated the Summer Dance Laboratory, a month-long teaching program. The First Chamber Dance Company collection contains photographs, programs, publicity, and brochures from 1971 to 1979. The photographs are mostly head shots and portraits (including group portraits), with a few from performances. less

The Claudia Gitelman papers, dated 1946-2012 (bulk dates 2010-2011), focuses mostly on Gitelman's curatorial work for Alwin Nikolais' Total Theater of Motion, a centennial celebration held at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts from 2010 to 2011. These files include correspondence, photographs of the Nikolais Dance Theatre dance performances, watercolor sketches of dancers, and programs. Gitelman's career development is represented to a lesser extent mainly through photographs, programs and writings. The electronic records contain a number of manuscripts, drafts, and planning documents for the book On Stage Alone: Soloists and the Modern Dance Canon (2012) that Gitelman co-edited with Barbara Palfy. Margaret Fisher (1948- ) is an American media artist, choreographer and the creator of Cellular Movement, a gestural technique that embraces postmodern dance aesthetics in performance. Fisher has performed nationally and internationally with Cat's Paw Palace and MA FISH CO. Her husband, Robert Hughes, a choreographer, worked extensively on productions in MA FISH CO. The Margaret Fisher papers document the career of Margaret Fisher including a year spent in Japan studying Japanese gestural and performance techniques. The collection holds correspondence, journals, individual works, photographs, designs, printed matter, and audio and moving image materials. less

This collection represents Lepkoff's later career work and contains documentation of dancers and choreographers in the 1980s through 1999.
